Read the Book: Stop Smoking Naturally

Martha has written this to be a self-help book as well as a text to follow when she teaches the course. Several people have stopped smoking successfully on their own following the steps in the book. So if you are not able to pre-reward yourself by a trip to the spa, purchase the book and get started.

Attached is a letter from a successful self-help student she received in July, 2001:

Dear Martha:

I had the pleasure of meeting you in Ft. Lauderdale last year when you visited Susan. A couple of months later I visited Susan at her fantastic condo on the beach and your book "Stop Smoking Naturally", jumped out at me. I have wanted to quit for a long, long, long time. I tried the gum, the patch, and prayer - but it didn't last - I went back after experiencing stressful situations or some other emotional situations that made it difficult for me to cope.

I am happy to say that I read your book this past March. It stayed in my bag for those moments between things when I do something good for myself. Your hand-written note Enjoy The Freedom hit home. After reading a few pages, it quickly became obvious to me that you wrote a step by step guide to break the addiction of nicotine. I followed your advice, eating sunflower seeds, baby carrots, keeping the cigarettes in my car, not carrying them with me, drinking plenty of water and before not too long I realized there was a possibility that I could be free from being controlled by cigarettes. I read more and tried going for longer periods of time without smoking. I made it through my lunch hour without sucking down four fast ones to compensate and last the rest of the day.

I made it through a week, all day without smoking! Fantastic! I tried going throughout the evening without cigarettes. I walked instead! I made sure I did not have any in the house when I woke up in the morning. I learned I could start my day in quiet meditation watching the sun rise, listening to the birds and wind chimes, enjoying fresh air filtering through my smoke free lungs. I was conscience of my habits and triggers. I noticed my health improving, my senses getting sharper and my eyesight keener. I feel as though a veil has been lifted. Your book provided to me the necessary support that I needed to increase my awareness about the reasons why I wanted to be free from this troublesome addiction.

Thank you for writing this wonderful book - I am giving a copy of it to those I love who still smoke and would like to Enjoy the Freedom as well.

I have not smoked since March 31, 2001.
